It was commonly thought that witches rode goats. The goat being a symbol of evil and gluttony due to its similarity to Baphomet and Pan. Somewhere along the way secret societies such as the Freemasons began using the riding of the goat as part of the initiation process.

Cats were prosecuted almost as much as witches during the middle ages in Europe. People assumed that cats were witches familiars or demon accomplices in mischief. We all know that simply is not true and cats are the best. I illustrated various breeds!

Ace of Cups illustration, part of a series of Tarot Cards I illustrated.
The Ace of Cups is connected to emotion and intuition as well as love.
Considering the Pantone color of the year is Radiant Orchid, I decided to make this pattern with Paphiopedilum Orchids coming out of a forest sorrounded by sneaky snakes.
